A beautiful bear seen facing left. Notice the uniform scoring. On closer inspection it looks like fine stitching. The lines and dots are 0.3mm apart. How was this achieved?
This scoring and its overall shape reminds me of the monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey. It is positioned in front of a standing crowned figure. To the right of this figure is what appears to be a Stone Age person wielding a shield and club mid battle. Below appears to show two smaller figures shaking hands accompanied by a white wolf.
The scoring on this stone is definitely not from natural geology... I would imagine some hardened iron tool would be needed to make such closely uniform stitch marks. although i don't know what is achievable with knapping tools.
I love the bear although he seems to be sloping off looking a bit sad.
